HYROX training in Coatbridge takes place at Caleb’s Gym, the dedicated group training facility within JP’s Gym in Linburn Business Park.

HYROX combines running with functional workout stations such as sled pushes, rowing, SkiErg, lunges and wall balls. The classes at Caleb’s Gym follow this hybrid training style to build endurance, strength and overall conditioning.

Whether someone is preparing for a HYROX race or simply wants structured conditioning sessions, the classes are designed to be challenging, supportive and scalable.

 

HYROX Coach Jonathan Sinclair

HYROX sessions are coached by Jonathan Sinclair, a hybrid athlete and competitive HYROX racer.

HYROX is not just something Jonathan coaches, it’s the sport he actively trains and competes in. His sessions are built around the real demands of HYROX competition.

Jonathan’s competitive background includes:

• Scottish 400m medalist
• HYROX Poznan Doubles – 2nd place (57:27)
• HYROX European Championships Relay – 3rd place
• Winner of the 12 Week Peak performance programme 2023

His coaching focuses on helping members develop the key elements required for HYROX racing and hybrid conditioning.

Sessions work on:

• race pacing and endurance
• sled push and sled pull technique
• SkiErg and rowing efficiency
• strength under fatigue
• confidence across HYROX-style workouts

The Training Environment

HYROX classes take place inside Caleb’s Gym, the dedicated group training and conditioning facility within JP’s Gym in Coatbridge.

The space provides approximately 2,500 square feet of open training area, allowing structured HYROX-style sessions with multiple stations running simultaneously.

The facility setup allows classes to include key HYROX movements using equipment such as:

• sled push and sled pull lanes
• Concept2 RowErg machines
• Concept2 SkiErg machines
• sandbags and conditioning equipment
• open turf space for running and functional circuits

This layout allows athletes to train through HYROX-style stations while maintaining flow and structure during group sessions.

HYROX training classes in Coatbridge are held at Caleb’s Gym with sessions led by Jonathan Sinclair.

Tuesday – 6:15 PM
HYROX Lite (45 minutes)

Wednesday – 6:15 AM

Sunday – 11:00 AM
HYROX Specialist Session (60+ minutes)

Sessions combine running intervals, sled work, erg training and functional strength circuits.

Community Training

The HYROX classes at Caleb’s Gym bring together members of different abilities who train together in a supportive group environment.

Many members attend regularly to improve their conditioning, build confidence and prepare for HYROX events across the UK and Europe.

HYROX Community Group

Members who attend HYROX sessions at Caleb’s Gym also have access to a dedicated HYROX WhatsApp group.

The group is used to keep members connected between sessions and helps build a supportive training environment.

Inside the group members can:

• organise training sessions
• share race plans and HYROX events
• ask training questions
• support each other’s progress and competitions

It allows the HYROX community at JP’s Gym to stay connected outside of class and helps members stay accountable with their training.
